Today is the day! It is hard to believe it, but my TED Talk is officially “live” on the TED website. I hope you’ll watch it, enjoy it, and share it far and wide—with friends, family and colleagues. Thank you.
It’s a special day for me. I’ve been a huge fan of TED Talks for years, and I often dreamed of attending a TED conference—as a member of the audience, that is. Before embarking upon my journey to share my eyes wide open vision with others, I had never considered the possibility I’d give a TED Talk of my own. Then I began to write Eyes Wide Open and to share my vision with my peers in YPO. One thing led to another, I gave a presentation at YPO’s Global Leadership Conference in Dubai that was well received, and I was invited to speak on the TED mainstage at TEDSUMMIT 2016 in Banff.
Which meant, of course, that I could attend TEDSUMMIT 2016, a dream come true in itself. In June, Dorothy and I had a memorable, enriching week in Banff. We met many phenomenal and fascinating people; heard brilliant Talks on a wide range of topics; and experienced a one-of-a-kind community that is embracing, invigorating and inspiring.
A few months later, that TED community has now shared my Talk with the world. I’m elated, humbled and honored. I’m also eager to hear what you think! Please join the conversation below and let me know.
Join The Conversation
I want to hear from you.
Whether you’ve attended one of my speeches or consulting sessions, ordered Eyes Wide Open, seen my TED Talk, read one of my blog or social media posts, or you’re simply visiting this site, I want to know what you think. Make a point (big or small), share a story, offer criticism, ask a question—whatever suits you. I’d like to start an open conversation, so I’d appreciate your permission to share your submission in the future—anonymously, if you prefer. Even if I can’t share your thoughts with others, however, I still want to hear them, so please do tell me what’s on your mind. Thank you.
